The Frank & Walters hit the right notes with new single ‘Goddess of Athena’

What may seem on the surface a song of love gone wrong, ‘Goddess of Athena’ by The Frank & Walters has some underlying political currents that reflect recent times in Europe and further afield. Taken from their critically acclaimed album Songs for the Walking Wounded (released in April 2016 on FIFA Records), ‘Goddessof Athena’ juxtaposes elements of crumbling Western society with more personal themes, all the while comparing it to a Greek tragedy being played out on the largest stage. 2016 has already thrown out the uncertainties of Brexit with an oncoming US election, against the backdrop of several failed European states. These are shifting times, that can be viewed as reflections of more private doubt and concern on an individual level. The stunning new video for ‘Goddess of Athena’ was shot in Athens. Specially compiled and edited for the band by Athens-based and long time Franks’ fan George Agrofylakas, with Monica Brandini. You can next see The Frank & Walters play at The Winter Festival in The White Horse, Ballincollig on January 28 Watch the video for ‘Goddess of Athena’...
