Kate Dineen is an award winning Irish singer songwriter from Tralee but based in Dublin who is about to release another stunning single ‘Flames’ on the 28th July. In 2015 Kate played a number of festivals including Battle for the Burning Lake, 96/1 and Cork Folk Festival. The Tralee songwriter also supported Dublin band The Needables at their album launch, and has supported Marc O’Reilly in Whelans and Dolans. She won the Noel Brazil songwriting competition for her song ‘Great Escape’.
‘Flames’ flirts with Americana and new Irish folk with equal measure but never lets go of Kate Dineen’s sweet and soulful delivery. Kate’s atmospheric vocal stylings have very little need for accompaniment as her vocal alone can paint a wall of imagination inside the listeners head and I’m always impressed by an artist who is honest on their canvas.
Flames is a hauntingly beautiful track is out now on spotify.
