Festival season is not over just yet as Ireland’s Folk, Roots & Indie Festival celebrates 12 years of quality music in Sligo on the Wild Atlantic Way from 26th – 31st October 2016.
Sligo Live which is held indoors across 6 days in various venues will play host to 80 performances and 300 performers along with a food trail also offers segues into local activities such as the Seaweed Baths, walks and hikes and the opportunity to sample some great local cuisine.
Festival highlights include Rodrigo Y Gabriela, Paul Brady, The Saw Doctors, Little Green Cars, Lynched, Orchid Collective, King Kong Company, Festival Club as well a Trad sessions. Arrivals which is a free Sligo Live programme strand that introduces emerging artists to a wider audience and this year’s featured artists include Enda Reilly, Saramai, Aural Air, Nocturnes, Stephen A Murphy, Comrade Hat, Ann Scott, Pine ¶he Pilcrow, Moon Looks On, The Wranglers, Tomorrows, and Etain and much more.
