The Vincent(s) – Song for the Sea

It shouldn’t work to say that I have soft spot for The Vincent(s) for they are not soft in the least little bit, but I really do! Their mixture of noise and psych brings me right back to when there was good grunge music and makes me want to head-bang all over again. ‘Song for the Sea’ originally featured on the band’s ‘Valley of the Sun’ EP produced by Chris Somers. However, at this year’s Sea Sessions festival Courtney Taylor-Taylor of little known band The Dandy Warhols caught the lads set and wanted to get involved. He contacted FiFA Records and the result is a blistering grunge/noise/heavy rock track produced by Taylor-Taylor and mixed by Brandon Egglestone. Marcus Allen’s vocals are mesmerising, channelling both the dark and light found in the band’s music and lyrics. This is good old rock music as it should be. ‘Song for the Sea’ will be released October 3rd followed by a tour with The Telescope.
