Bitch Falcon have released their first new material since last summer’s critically acclaimed ‘TMJ’ and the new track shows the band are in no mood for slowing down or playing nice.

Lizzie Fitzpatrick leads on vocals as the band explore garage and hardcore metal. Using the title as influence the track teases us with musical tidbits that compromise on a dark groove to let Fitzpatrick growl. It is this wall of sound that allows rather than swallows up her vocal on “Clutch” as it acts as step from which she can take the song to the next level. The track feels demanding, fat and obtrusive as that wall is made up of layers of garage sounding guitars, electronic elements and synths monopolising your attention. “Clutch” demonstrates that Bitch Falcon are taking no prisoners and are leading the charge, miles ahead of anything that came before.

Recorded at Orphan Recording Studios and Asylum Studios/Bow Lane over a two-day period, ‘Clutch’ was engineered and mixed by Robin Ball, who previously worked with the band on ‘Wolfstooth’ and ‘Breed’. Fergal Davis handled mastering duties.
