You may remember Cassier No. 9?! The songwriting force behind the 2011 album “To The Death Of Fun”, Danny Todd and James Smith, have come together again in the incarnation of Exmagician and are releasing their debut album “Scan The BlueMarch 25th with a series of Irish dates to support it.

Taking the reins on production for the album the Belfast duo have combined a range of musical influences and sources incorporating field recordings from the streets of Belfast with synths and fuzzy garage guitar to create a lush psychedelic adventure witnessed on tracks “Kiss That Wealth Goodbye”, “Job Done” and “Scan The Blue”. They also enlisted the help of Rocky O’Reilly, of And So I Watch You From Afar, General Fiasco and Mojo Fury fame on the album.

Hope, trust and revenge serve as themes for the debut album “Scan The Blue” where the songwriters and producers were keen to emphasis a solid song foundation before experimentation with an Ms-20 as inspired by David Holmes who produced the Cashier No. 9 album.
