If you feeling a little fragile this Monday morning watch the video for Hvmmingbyrd’s new single “If Love Was Enough” with caution as it may make you cry. The is the follow up to their duo’s “Out Of My Head” and will feature on their forthcoming EP ‘Know My Name’ to be released in September.

“If Love Was Enough” sees Deborah Byrne and Suzette Das bring their atmospheric alt-pop to our ears using loops, synths and a drum machine. The duo seem to be settling on this genre for the moment and it will be interesting to hear how the rest of the album sounds. The vocal arrangement and harmony on “If Love Was Enough” is powerful and evokes not just the heartbreaking sentiment behind the track but there is a tribal, earthly quality to it that promises hope even in our darkest hours. The video was directed & produced by Crooked Gentlemen and features Eoin Macken, Olivia Romao, Isaac Simao.
