The Other Side Of Now” is the debut extended play release from Cork musician Jack O’Rourke. Produced by Christian Best, of Mick Flannery and O Emperor fame, the EP was released June 19th and will be officially launched July 5th in Upstairs at The Oliver Plunkett.

The 5 tracks of “The Other Side Of Now” demonstrate O’Rourke’s song writing and flair for the dramatic. Already the blues/rock of ‘Naivety’, ‘Shining For You’ and ‘Silence’ have received critical acclaim nationwide with ‘Silence’ being adopted by Amnesty International during the Marriage Referendum in Ireland. The EP not only takes you on a journey of self expression, self acceptance, and shimmering chorus’ but displays Jack’s baritone at its finest. Be prepared for Jack L and Guy Garvey comparisons. “The Other Side Of Now” lifts you up on tracks ‘Naviety’ and ‘The Other Side Of Now’, makes you introspective on ‘Silence’ and ‘I’ll Forget You In The Morning’ and seduces you with its sexy midnight blues on ‘Shining For you’. A classically trained pianist “The Other Side Of Now” is piano led with brilliantly arranged choir interludes for an extra punch when required. The EP is heartfelt, honest (strikingly so) and glittering.
