Taking the cult movie “Office Space” as inspiration Waterford ravers King Kong Company have revealed their new video and launch date for their album. The video is for track “Scarity Dan” and the date is June 17th.
Directed by Jamie O’Rourke from Killer Rabbit Productions it is the first thing the group have entrusted to an outsider but he has captured the dark quirk that runs through KKC. The video for “Scarity Dan” taps in to something that might lurk deep within us all, something dangerous and unspeakable waiting to break loose. But as with everything King Kong Company do it’s never too serious and there’s plenty of room for a bit of a smirk. Speaking of, have you checked out their new website?
The track itself reminds me of Faithless after it’s been put into a concrete mixer with 90’s dance music. The new album KING KONG COMPANY – THE ALBUM was produced by Neil McLellan so we can expect more gems like this. You will be able to listen to the new album on Spotify from May 31st the same day the single is released. The album will be available to purchase June 17th.
