Karen Sheridan and her collaborators on Slow Skies have returned in 2016 and brought with them an charismatic opener to their upcoming debut album.
“Winter Night” is a beautifully haunting track about past love, holding on to the moment and looking back. Wonderfully produced by Ber Quinn the track, consisting of Karen’s vocals with sparse accompaniment on cello and with Patrick O’Laoghaire on piano, they have managed to create space and atmosphere around it that lends an air of endlessness and loneliness to the track. Almost like shouting into the wind at times “Winter Night” will bring back all the memories and make you feel a little nostalgic. “No // I won’t look back// This time”.
