The atmosphere on The Hive Stage at Townlands Carnival will be buzzing as the bulk of TLC18’s dance line-up converges here for three nights of beats from across the spectrum. A Ghetto Funk takeover sees Stanton Warriors’ irresistible and inimitable sound come to the party, via legendary performances at East London warehouses, Miami boat parties and illegal Detroit raves, to the stages of Coachella, Glastonbury, Burning Man and Ultra, selling out global tours along the way.

Joining them on this fantastic melting pot of a stage are Brighton scratch DJ, JFB, the home-grown funk, glitch and electro beats of WBBL, the mighty Ghetto Funk Allstars, UK rave legends Altern 8, Free Radikal and Vinyl Below. Completing a electrifying three days at The Hive are Deep Blue, DJ Red, I Kodu, Stephen Murphy, Hot Lady, Paul Daly, Ingo Nintemann, Shiv, Kyle Mehan and Mark Da Funk. Meanwhile, latest recruits to The Hive, the UK duo Icarus have been described by Radio 1’s Annie Mac as “fast becoming the masters of emotive dance music”.
The Hive is the latest stage to be revealed for this summer’s extravaganza, taking place at Rusheen Farm Estate, Co Cork. Already announced for the Main Stage at Townlands Carnival are disco legends Sister Sledge, Leftfield (DJ set), King Kong Company, Kila and more. Nestled in the TLC18 woods, the Sibín Stage features a superb mix of folk, trad, gypsy rhythms and excellent singer writers such as The Latchiko’s, Carny Villains, Katie Kim, One Horse Pony and Galway Street Club.

Meanwhile, the Rising Sons Stage features some of the best upcoming Irish talent on the scene, including Orchid Collective, Bantum, Happyalone, The Elation, Spekulative Ficktion and Bailer. Over at The Riddim Shack, you can expect an electic mix of beats, dub and sound system vibes, from hosts Mungos HiFi (ft Solo Banton), Radical Guru & Cian Finn.
