Bray natives and Hozier BFFs Wyvern Lingo have released their newest offering the EP “Letter To Willow” today, March 4th.

The band – Karen Cowley (vocals, keyboards, bass synth ), Caoimhe Barry (vocals, drums ), and Saoirse Duane (vocals, guitar ), released the EP via the Rubyworks label. With singles “Subside” and “Letter to Willow” on the 4 track EP we have new tracks “Running” and “Beast at the Door” open to further exploration. If we got a sense of an RnB influence on their first EP the alt-folk “The Widow Knows” it is now the over-riding aspect of “Letter To Willow”. Here, the band demonstrate tight harmonies and vocal strength handling complicated and intertwining vocal arrangements. This latest instalment also shows the confidence of the trio to fully emerge themselves in a genre and emerge masters of the role. With alternating soulful and funk accompaniment throughout whether it is on bass, keyboards or guitar the EP sounds like the making of something bigger, better and accomplished and we will just have to stand by and wait for it. For it is coming.

Don’t forget to catch Wyvern Lingo perform on The Late Late Show tonight with Ryan Tubridy, March 4th.
