In a post on their website the festival said, “Cancelling our festival has become unavoidable, and we fully support the Irish Government’s ongoing measures to help fight the spread of Covid-19 and protect lives at this time.”

The Stradbally festival is the last to confirm it will not be going ahead this year after restrictions by the government were revealed. It was widely speculated that this year’s event would be postponed when several of its headline acts had cancelled their European tours this summer.
