Review by Bobby Green

Dublin in the rain is mine
A pregnant city with a catholic mind
Starch those sheets for the birdhouse jail
All mescalined when the past is stale, pale
Dublin in the rain is mine
A pregnant city with a catholic mind
Slick little boy with a mind of Ritz
Pulling that thread for the next big fix, this

I honestly think they can do no wrong. Just when the bland becomes mainstream, and we’re expected to get excited by whoever can shout the loudest, there’s always a band that will come along that are perfect for the here and now. They don’t demand you sit up and take notice, but if you don’t you’ll miss the best band to come out of Dublin in decades.

With a debut album so eagerly awaited, 2019 is going to see Fontaines D.C leap off the cliff they spent 2018 on top of and soar towards whatever they desire.

The new single ‘BIG’ comes in at 1.45 and isn’t a second too long or short, as sharp as a punch in the face that the music scene needs right now
