Bandcamp is waiving its share of sales made via the platform on the first Friday of May, June and July in order to support artists affected by COVID-19

Bandcamp had already announced that they would would their share of sales for on second time on May 1st earlier this month after the sale of almost 800,000 items and a total spend of $4.3 million on their first fee waive day back on March 20. Bandcamp has now confirmed that the first Friday of June and July will also see the company waive its share of sales via the platform.

Bandcamp normally takes a 15% cut of digital, physical and merchandise sales. However, on May 1, June 5 and July 3, from midnight Pacific Time, 100% of sales will go into the pockets of artists with Bandcamp hoping to support artists as best as it can amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
